The deal, in plain ink.

How you and we work together while you're using Plooi. Short version: behave like a designer would, keep your own content, don't try to break what we built, and either of us can stop using it at any time.

Effective 2026-06-09 · Version 2026.1

Accepting these terms

By creating a Plooi account, signing the waitlist, or using this site, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the service.

Plooi is in Closed Alpha. That means features move, things occasionally break, and the commercial terms (pricing, refunds, SLAs) aren't live yet — we'll publish updated terms before any paid offering ships, and notify you 14 days before they take effect.

Who we are

"Plooi", "we", or "us" refers to the entity operating plooi.ai. The legal entity is in the process of being incorporated — current contact details are in our imprint.

Your account

You need an email address to be invited and an account to use the canvas. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account.

You must be old enough to enter a contract under your jurisdiction — typically 16 in the EU, 18 in some others. Don't share your account with people who would otherwise need their own.

Acceptable use

Some things you can't do with Plooi:

  • Use the service to create content that violates law, infringes others' rights, or harms people.
  • Reverse-engineer the canvas, scrape the API, or attempt to extract our system prompts and provider keys.
  • Run automated workloads that aren't documented as supported (load testing, mass-account creation, etc.).
  • Use Plooi to train competing models on outputs without our written agreement.

Material violations end the account immediately. Borderline cases: we'll reach out before doing anything.

Your content stays yours

Anything you put on the canvas — notes, research, methods, outputs — remains yours. By using the service you grant Plooi a limited licence to host, process and display that content so we can render the canvas back to you. We do not use your content to train any model.

You can export everything you've put in as JSON or PDF at any time. When you delete your account, your content is erased within 30 days.

AI providers (BYOK)

Plooi runs methods against your own provider keys (Bring Your Own Key, or BYOK) — Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic. Keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and held server-side. When a method runs, the prompt and any input you connected travel to the provider you chose under their terms of service. Plooi is not party to those terms.

Outputs from those providers reflect their models, not ours. We do our best to expose the confidence and provenance of each output on the method card; final judgement on whether to ship a model output is yours.

Plooi content

The canvas itself, the method templates, the brand marks, the design system and the docs are ours. You can use them inside Plooi for your own work, but you can't republish them as your own product or training data.

Changes to the service

Plooi is in active development. We may add features, change how methods behave, or retire features that didn't earn their keep. Material changes — anything that affects what your existing workflows produce — are announced in-app at least 14 days before they ship.

Ending the relationship

You can delete your account at any time from the app or by emailing support@plooi.ai. We can terminate your access if you materially violate these terms, with notice unless the violation is severe (security, legal). In any termination, your right to export your content stays open for 30 days.

No warranty during alpha

Plooi is provided as-is during Closed Alpha. We don't guarantee uptime, performance, or that outputs are fit for any particular purpose. Use Plooi for thinking and drafting; verify before you ship. Once we publish commercial terms, this section gets a proper warranty disclaimer.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law and except for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, our aggregate liability to you is limited to €0 during Closed Alpha (the price you paid). Statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of the city where the Plooi entity is registered have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes between businesses; if you're a consumer, the courts of your residence apply by default.

Questions

Email hello@plooi.ai with anything that needs answering. We respond within a few working days during alpha.
